一切完美

i confess. I have been watching this 13-part series religiously.

why?

its privately produced (Wa Wa Pictures),
got good natural acting (Thomas Ong & Michelle Chia),
realistic storyline and character developement,
with something to think about after watching.

Unlike the usual fare from MediaCorp,
over-acting,
ridiculous storyline,
wonder why waste time watching shows only aunties can identify with.

each episode has a sub plot with the main plot linking the episodes together

one of the main plots is the successful plastic surgeon of the rich and famous Dr Alex Tan, who is a bachelor, discovering he has a 9 year old daughter, Coco, out of the blue, unable to accept her existance initailly, to loving her, enjoying fatherhood, adjusting life priorities and eventually losing her when her mother, his ex, came back for her.

throughout the series, a few scenes that touched me most were the father - daughter scenes. developing perternal instincts? lol.... neh

the most memorable one was when Coco approach Alex with her piggy bank.
Coco asked how much it would cost for Alex to help her friend restore her face damaged by abuse.
Alex told her it would cost her 100 piggy banks.
Coco was disappointed.
Coco asked Alex to lend her money.
Alex wont lend Coco money, cause Coco's money is Alex's money anyway.
Touched by Coco's compassion for her friend, Alex offer to do the surgery free of charge, a first for the materialistic Alex.
Alex commented, hugging Coco, what to do, my daughter asked.

Success to Significance
creating phyical perfection to restoring the soul

The perfectionist in me was able to identify with the journey.

the series ended with this quote
"As long as you learn to tolerate imperfection, everything will be perfect"
