Charlie & Chocolate Factory
Caught Charlie yesterday after CrossLines with Z n Nat.
Well it was the children's choice, wasnt sure if I would enjoy it actually. Never read the book. Didnt know what to expect. Much like SpongeBob SquarePants : )
Well the verdict........ Charlie was great! Tim was at his best in bringing to screen what can only be left to imagination!
Great story! (Made a note to read the book, ya children book, but still great what!)
Wholesome children show! (Parents should bring their children to watch, very educational, but then again.....)
Visually stunning! Didnt even felt like 2 hrs long lor.....
Besides the lessons learnt from the 4 terrible children (glut, proud, spoilt and arrogant) portrayed, I learnt one from Willy Wonka (very MJ looking, quite eerie).
I was reminded that all great accomplishments would come to naught in the absence of successors. When Willy realised he is not going to live forever, he decided to pick a protege to pass his chocolate factory to, hence the invitation to Charlie and the children.
"Success without Legacy is Failure"
From poor but good hearted Charlie, you learn family is more important than anything in the world. Faced to choose inheriting the chocolate factory but leaving his family, he chose his family without second thought.
Ok i will not reveal too much.... Night night zzzzzzz
